Symposium 2000-2 – Apocalyptische verwachtingen rond het jaar 2000 (Het Theosofisch Collectief)
(Verslag millenniumsymposium)
Entering the next millennium is an event that raises many questions. Not only questions, but also fear and uncertainty, based on the ancient literature that speaks of the Apocalypse: the end of this world and the coming of a new kingdom.
The Theosophical Collective, a collaboration of various theosophical organizations in the Netherlands, held a symposium on this subject. This symposium was intended to consider questions and ideas about this in the light of the Ancient Wisdom: timeless, universal, not bound by national borders, cultural borders and eras.
The speakers of the day gave their insights on this topic from different Ancient Wisdom traditions: Sufi, Gnosis and Theosophy. The questions that each speaker answered and the extensive panel discussion at the end of the day are also included in this report.
