What is a human being? Who are we? Do we actually die? And if so, what of us dies, and how?
Questions to answer before we are 'unexpectedly' confronted with the fact. When we wait for others to guide us through something that we will have to go through alone, we are too late. Then we have missed an opportunity. The thoughts in this booklet, drawn from the knowledge of Esoteric Philosophy, give that opportunity.
Dr. G. de Purucker describes here the phenomenon of 'death' and the dying process from the esoteric background knowledge about the cyclic course of life in our solar system, and the composition of the human constitution, as taught in the ancient mystery schools. In which he does not place the body, but the human consciousness central.

G. de Purucker was born in 1874 in Suffern, New York. In Geneva he studied English, French, German, Hebrew, Latin and Greek, but through his study of oriental philosophy, Sanskrit and the works of the early church fathers he turned his attention to occultism and Esoteric Philosophy. In 1892 he became a member of The Theosophical Society, of which he was Leader from 1929 until his death in 1942.
