A philosophy of life that answers frequently asked questions about life and suffering, illness and death, must reach further than just external existence. Such a philosophy of life recognizes only consciousness as the basis for all experiences and must be based on true knowledge about man and his universal home. That knowledge is offered by Esoteric Philosophy in its most current form: Theosophy. This Theo-sophia or Divine Wisdom is provided by human beings who are far ahead of the current humanity. These 'Masters of Wisdom and Compassion' experienced the 'new philosophy of life' in their own lives as the most correct and now teach it to us. Whoever wants to hear, let him hear.

The author DJP Kok was the Leader of the Theosophical Society from 1958 to 1985 and the inspiration for a close-knit working community that has been active from the Blavatsky House since 1971. Under his leadership, many theosophical standard works were translated and published. DJP Kok himself wrote, among other things: The Great Misunderstanding, (now: The Esoteric Background of Christianity) a study of the Bible in the light of Theosophy, and the widely read Theosophical Fragments: short and simple explanations of theosophical teachings.
